Got about 2/3 of the upper level backdrop painted in the new color.
Once I move all the building off the last 1/3 of the shelf and paint that area, I’ll go back and blend in some white at the bottom for an horizon effect and add some clouds.
Looks great. I’m curious, what’s the official Ace color name for the blue you are using? I’d like to get a quart and try it for myself.
And the new track alignment looks interesting. Do you think it will enhance operations on the upper deck?
The paint color is called Quiet Splendor. There’s a code number under the name, A42-4.
I don’t know if it’ll directly help with operations but it feels like without it doing the big right/left sweep it did before (more just straight down the layout), some of the scenes won’t feel as if they’re being crammed into a section of the layout, or that I have to add a spur turnout at a weird location on the main in order to make it accommodate where a building is going to go, if that makes sense.
